Miami-Dade County regulates non-consent (involuntary) towing under Section 30-476 of the County Code. The maximum rate for a standard vehicle is $165 plus $3.50 per mile after 5 miles. The towing company must accept credit or debit cards. No storage fee can be charged for the first 6 hours. The vehicle cannot be taken to a storage facility more than 10 miles from the tow location.
